What is the contrast circuit?
Heat, then cold, then rest — the pattern Nordic bathing cultures have used for centuries. A hot sauna opens everything up, a cold plunge closes it back down, and the rest between the two is where the effect actually lands. Done outdoors at 7,000 feet, in air this dry and this quiet, the contrast is sharper than it is anywhere indoors.
Why soak under a certified dark sky?
The reason to do this here rather than at a spa in a city is directly overhead. Capitol Reef is a certified International Dark Sky Park and Torrey is a certified Dark Sky Community. Sitting in hot water in the open air, with no light and no sound, the sky is the entire experience.
What about movie nights?
Not everything has to be strenuous. The plan includes evenings where the draw is a screen under the open air, a blanket, and the sky filling in around the edges once the credits roll.
When does this arrive?
The wellness build-out is planned for the 2027 season, alongside the conversion of the property to tempered-glass domes. None of it exists on the property today. Join the list if you want to hear when dates open.
